Speech Language Pathology Assistant

About Kate

Hello! I grew up in Red Deer, Alberta and moved to Edmonton in 2015 where I completed my Bachelor of Arts at the University of Alberta with a major in Linguistics and a minor in Psychology. I then attended St. Lawrence College in Kingston, Ontario to become a Speech Assistant and graduated in 2020. I have been working as an SLP-A since!

I have primarily worked with preschool and early elementary aged children but love working with all ages. I work both with children who have language disorders/delays and speech sound delays. I have experience working with children who are Gestalt Language Processors (GLPs), and have experience using Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) devices. I am passionate about engaging in play-based, child-led sessions.
