Bridgit Joslin
Speech Language Pathologist
About Bridgit
I am speech-language pathologist who is passionate about supporting children and adults as a team with their families. I value meaningful connection, diversity, and acceptance.
I began my career specializing in Early Childhood Services supporting children in daycare and preschool settings and collaborating with their families, as well as Speech-Language Assistants/Educational Assistants, Occupational Therapists, and Behaviour Consultants. I love working with others as a team and it is so rewarding to see gains in children’s communication abilities! I also have experience supporting school-age children, as well as adults, with speech, language, and communication.
I am passionate to support the growth of individuals with a variety of communication needs including speech, language, fluency, as well as social, cognitive, and augmentative & alternative communication. By using play-based therapy approaches (also known as interest- or hobbies-based for older ages) and individualized goals, I focus on meeting individuals where they are at, building on their skills, and following their lead to promote confidence in their communication.
