Speech Language Pathology Assistant

About Amanda

Hi, I’m Amanda! I was born in Saskatoon which is where I was first introduced to the profession of Speech Language Pathology when I went to see an SLP as a young girl. I had so much fun in my sessions that I knew I had to be involved in the field when I grew up! I graduated from MacEwan University in 2018 with my diploma in Therapist Assistant in Speech Language Pathology and started working for the school district gaining experience with a wide range of ages and discovering how much I enjoyed working with kids. I decided to further my education and graduated in 2024 with a degree in linguistics and sociology from the University of Alberta with a hope of getting a masters in Speech Pathology one day soon!

In my free time I enjoy trying out new workout classes and finding ones I enjoy; my current favourites are pilates and hot yoga. I also enjoy visiting new places, whether that’s a new café, restaurant, city, or country.
