About Billie Jo

Billie Jo Scott is a compassionate and experienced Registered Psychologist in Alberta since 2009. With nearly over two decades of expertise in education and psychological assessment, she is dedicated to empowering children, adolescents, and families. Billie Jo blends a client-centered approach with a commitment to fostering inclusive, strengths-based support and neurodiversity-affirming practices.

Billie Jo holds a Master of Education in Educational Psychology (2006) from the University of Alberta. Her background and experience as a classroom teacher enhances her ability to bridge educational and psychological perspectives, providing actionable strategies that support students’ learning and well-being in diverse settings.

With experience in psychoeducational assessments, Billie Jo specializes in working with children and adolescents with a wide range of differences related to developmental concerns, learning differences, attention, behavior, and/or social-emotional concerns. Within a neurodiversity-affirming framework, Billie Jo strives to celebrate each individual’s strengths while addressing areas of support with respect and sensitivity. Billie Jo has extensive experience leading transdisciplinary teams and collaborates with families and schools in order to navigate complex student needs.

Billie Jo is dedicated to creating supportive environments where children and families can thrive. She prioritizes building collaborative, trust-based relationships and tailoring interventions to honor each individual’s unique experiences and strengths. In her spare time, Billie Jo enjoys spending time outside with her family and is an avid life long learner.
